Iberia
"Spain's Airline"
delivers
"excellent value"
for international trips.
Throw in "decent" food, and Americans bound for Europe and Africa find it
"unbeatable."

Iberia
We flew from San Francisco to Johannesburg, South Africa in November 2005- a 23 hour trip.
We considered using frequent flier mileage for some, if not all of the trip, until we found an
outrageously low price on Iberia, Spain's Airline. For only $860. each, we flew San Francisco to
New York (JFK) to Madrid to Johannesburg! Our 11-year-old nephew who flew with us was even cheaper
at $640- $105. per leg- unbeatable!!
Arriving in the morning, we had a long layover in Madrid (17 hours) so we took a taxi into the
centre, got a hotel, took a nap and then walked around Madrid visiting the Palace (Europe's largest),
shopping, and having lunch and dinner. Our flight was a night flight over Africa to J'berg- we slept
the entire way.
The food was decent- no good seat tv's or video games (to my nephew's disappointment), but when
the next competitive price to Iberia's was Deltas at twice the cost - $1700, it was no doubt, a GREAT
deal.
All in all, I think Iberia delivered excellent value for the price and I would travel with them
again, which says it all!
